Deleting your account and data

Forkway has no sign-up. An "account" only exists if you linked a Google account to carry your progress to another phone. If you did, option 1 deletes it right away. Data that reaches our server whether or not you linked, such as leaderboard records, can be deleted with option 2.
Option 1. Unlink in the game (if you linked a Google account)
- On the game's home screen, tap Settings (the gear).
- Under Account, tap "Linked to Google · Unlink".
- If a Google account picker appears, choose the account you linked. It asks again because your last sign-in was a while ago.
- When "Unlinked" appears, you're done.
If you see "Unlinked. To erase your sign-in record too, email us", your account and progress on our server are gone but the Google sign-in record remains. Please use option 2.

Progress on your device stays, so you can keep playing. Leaderboard records, usage records, and the usage ledger are tied to an anonymous player identifier, so unlinking does not remove them. Use option 2 to delete those too.
Option 2. Ask by email
Email cashyalla@gmail.com with the subject "Forkway data deletion request". You can do this even if you've already uninstalled the app.
The player identifier isn't shown in the game, so include the following and we'll find your data from it:
- Display name (if you never changed it, the default name such as "Plumber-1a2b")
- Country shown on the leaderboard (or "Don't show")
- Roughly when you played (e.g. the first week of October 2026)
- Whether you linked a Google account. If you did, send the email from that Google address so we can find and delete the sign-in record too.
If several players share the name, we may ask a few more questions to confirm it's you.

We delete it within 30 days of confirming the request and reply when it's done.
What remains afterwards
- Server backups: taken once a day, kept for up to 5 weeks, then replaced. Deleted data stays in backups for that long and then disappears. Backups are not used for anything else.
- Firebase Analytics: events collected with only an app instance ID (no name or player identifier) expire after up to 14 months, per Firebase's retention setting.
- Ad data: held by Google under Google's policies. You can manage it in My Ad Center.
- Progress on your device: removed when you uninstall the app.
